Kundalini Yoga of Wisconsin, www.kundaliniyogawi.org

402 W. Lakeside St, Madison
(located above Lakeside Fibers)

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan strengthens the body inside and out and includes meditation to clear and focus the mind. This yoga class will help you take control of your health and life. Each class is focused on developing resilient body systems and mental capacities through the combination of breath, movement, posture, and mantra.

Amy Walden has been practicing Kundalini Yoga and Meditation since 1991. She practiced with Lorene Ludy of Madison for 12 years and received her 200-hour certification from Ravi Singh and Ana Brett of the Kundalini Yoga Center in New York City in 2003. She is excited to be teaching again after 3 years of experiencing and researching the affects of workplace stress on her body, mind & spirit. She believes that increasing our body’s flexibility and strength, heightening our self-awareness, and relaxing our mind and body can move us from humans “doing” to humans “being”. Amy’s philosophy is that “every one is the only one” (one movement, breath or pose), allowing the mind and body to be focused, free and in the moment. She has a BS in Natural Resources from UW-Madison and has worked in the environmental field since 1982. Since 1991, she has worked for the Department of Natural Resources helping to cleanup the environment and prevent air pollution.

Kathryn Gonzalez has been practicing Kundalini Yoga and Meditation since 2000. She first trained with Guru Anand Kaur in 2003, and recently attended the Level 1 Kundalini Research Institute Aquarian Teacher Training in Espanola, NM. She was graced with the name Anterbodh Kaur by the 3HO Foundation in 2009. She brings to her teaching an authentic appreciation for where people are at that very moment, and seeks to find ways to support and uplift their search for inner peace and well-being. She currently lives in Northern Wisconsin and conducts workshops, and individual and group instruction in Reiki, yoga, meditation, mind training, and subtle energies through Inner Alchemy, L.L.C.

Katy Wallace, Registered Yoga Teacher and Studio Owner, practicing since 2000, completed 200hr certification with the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) and Yoga Alliance in 2008. She is also in the process of completing Level II KRI Teacher Training. She has received Vinyasa Flow Yoga teacher training from Shiva Rea, and Vipassana meditation courses with S.N. Goenka. She is a Naturopathic Doctor and has a background in food-based health education and cleansing. She often explains how yoga and meditation assist with body systems.

Taught in a non-competitive atmosphere, classes are open to all levels, including beginners, on a drop-in basis.

"The length of time of the workshop is long enough to create new habits... and I have an idea of how good it feels to eat really well and so the motivation persists to keep up a whole foods diet."
